From time to time Hot Buffalo begins never ending adventures to find the best of the best in Buffalo.

During the summer, and by weeks of the Bills, Buffalo has seen an increasing focus on Sunday Brunch or what is commonly referred to as “Sunday Funday”.

For anybody who has attended a real brunch, you should be well aware that 2 drinks are status quo.  Mimosas (Champagne and Orange Juice) and the ever famous spicy hangover cure the Bloody Mary!

Bloody Mary’s recipes differ.  So unlike a cold Labatt Blue, the taste will differ between bartenders and establishments.

Thirsty Buffalo recently ended their brunches but no their brunch drinks!  Last Sunday we had a chance to make a quick post-brunch stop at the old Jimmy Mac’s.

The Bloody Mary was very good although it was lacking 2 preferred ingredients.  The first being celery which is the 4th most important ingredient, the other three being Tomato Juice, Tabasco and Vodka.

The second missing item is more of a personal taste.  While it is 100% correct to use the vodka of your choosing, some Bloody Mary connoisseurs insist on using Absolut Peppar.  The pepper infused vodka gives a permeating kick that plays well with the other garden ingredients.

All in all the Thirsty Buffalo’s Bloody Mary receives…
