Merge Lunch
By hotbuffalo on Monday, January 19, 2009
We were fans of Merge well before they opened. Variety is the spice of life and Merge offers a dinning atmosphere that is different from anywhere else in Buffalo.
Merge is long and narrow with a stage that beckons to the young aspiring musicians and entertainers. A small bar at the far end is reached by following a wide path past the filled but non-crowded tables.
On each table is a well sharpened set of colored pencils and a blank place mat which doubles as your canvas.
I was slightly addicted to my artwork. It’s not that I am artist by any means, it’s just been a long time since I colored. While not coming out quite like I imagined, it was entertaining to view my finished work. Nina’s was much cuter.
For lunch I ordered the Katie Panini (Grilled Cheddar Cheese, Granny Smith Apples and Jicama) with sweet potato fries.
Afterword, we sat for a few moments drinking hot tea and starring out at busy blustery Delaware Avenue.
