In the days of text messaging, ADHD, IM’ing, GPS and 24×7 news channels it is becoming harder and harder to find news that interests the masses.
Like it or not, the more intelligent viewer is watching shows like The Colbert Report and The Daily Show.
Buffalo now has it’s own satirical site about itself. Say hello to Buffalo Ruse (Sounds strikingly familiar to Buffalo News).
Buffalo Ruse has articles with titles such as…
Bills Reveal Extent of Edwards’ Injury: He Thinks He’s Joe Dufek
Sabres Break Ties With Ronan Tynan, Informal Contract Not Renewed
Buffalo Ruse also has polls such as… WHAT IS ON RICK’s (Jeannerett) HEAD (the options are A Dead Pigeon, Asbestos from the Aud, Ed Kilgore’s toupee and Raw Sewage).
All in all “spoof news” is on the rise so get used to it. There is no reason why Buffalo should be different from anywhere else.

I stumbled across the Ruse site by accident 2 weeks ago. I don’t know why the Ruse writers don’t try to advertise their product more…it’s hilarious stuff…the Buffalo News has deserved this site for a long, long time. Thanks for the link.
