Spot Coffee and $5 Wasted

All things being even, I’ll choose the locally owned business 100% of the time over a corporate business.  However in the case of Spot Coffee on Elmwood Avenue, things aren’t equal.  I truly feel you get a better coffee drink there than at their corporate nemesis Starbucks.  However this past Monday this writer went there and was rather let down.  I had brought a laptop and assumed in this age of technology that I could easily connect to the internet and work on such websites as HotBuffalo.com.  I mean for $50 a month and the price of a router($50-$75), you can offer free Wi-Fi to your customers.  Spot however does not offer this.  I was shockingly dismayed and although the decaf (virgin) latte was quite good and contained the extra ingredient (a little bit of sass), I could do nothing working off of the grid.

Fortunately I was able to find a copy of Buffalo Rising’s magazine and relaxed as best as my Type-A personality would let me.

Spot, if you would like to setup WiFi for your customers, give HotBuffalo a jingle and we’d be happy to set it up for you.
