Thursdays is best known for “Thursday in the Square”. This has live music and plenty of cheap drinks. Get there early to make sure you have enough room to move and it is quiet enough to talk. Chippewa is always going afterwards if you meet somebody and want to continue hanging out.

Fridays during the summer are usually mellow. Therefore the attempted date finding must be the same. Most people having gone out on Thursday are fighting a hangover on Friday. This is a perfect time to check out clam bars such as this one at Merlin’s. Other ideas are the patio at Cozumel or happy hour at Mother’s. Mother’s is interesting for dating in Buffalo as it is normally an older more sophisticated crowd. This makes approaching people easier for those that are really looking date seriously.

Saturdays in Buffalo are for festivals. There is always some Buffalo festival going on. Art Festival and the Music is Art festival are already over, but there is many more like the Taste of Buffalo, Elmwood Art Festival, Chicken Wing Festival, Buffalo Brew Fest and a ton of others. Don’t be afraid to drive into the country and check out things such as the Eden Corn Festival or the dozens of small town carnivals. The HUGE Erie County Fair is a great time as well.

Sundays are a great time for Sunset Bay Beach Club (click the link for directions). Get there around noon, enjoy some sun, the beach and don’t forget the frsibee. Most people who think of Buffalo don’t think of beach. This is a big Buffalo oversight that is easily corrected. For the more “frugal” Buffalo residents out there, you can throw a few sandwiches in a cooler and set your cooler right out there on the beach.

A popular saying by some is that “There is nothing to do in Buffalo”. This is something that pessimists normally say. There is tons of things to do in Buffalo. Pick up a free Art Voice or issue of Buffalo Rising. Then grab a fellow Buffalo resident and hit the town.
