Congratulations are due to our local Buffalo Sabres for making it to the second round of the playoffs. Looking across to the Western conference we see some strange things. Almost all of the lowest seated teams have made it to round 2. This is very odd indead. This is almost as odd as Grier scoring the first goal of the winning game!

This could quite possibly mean that round 2 will be the most interesting round of the entire playoffs. If (hopefully when) the Sabres beat Ottawa and make it to round 3 the could be sitting very nicely and most likely get home stadium advantage if they make it to Cup!

The Sabres are due much rest but should not hold anything back going into this next round. This will be the toughest battle in front of them this entire year.
